Hope Core

Borrowed hope, for the weeks you run out

Real wins and hopeful stories from families like yours — first words at seven, first sleepovers at twelve, first jobs at nineteen. Proof that the hard chapter you’re in is a chapter, not the book.

Why this page exists

Every parent in this community has had the 2 AM scroll — searching for one story that sounds like your kid and ends well. This page is where the village keeps those stories: the milestone videos, the happy tears in therapy waiting rooms, the ordinary Tuesdays that once felt impossible. Some weeks you’ll have hope to spare. Other weeks you’ll need to borrow some. Both are why this wall is here.

Every week, one story from this page is featured in the newsletter — so the whole village starts the week with proof it gets better.

This wall is just getting started

The stories below this line will come from community members — with pictures and videos, in their own words. Yours could be the one that carries another family through a hard week. It doesn’t need to be dramatic; “he ordered his own ice cream today” is exactly the kind of hope we mean.

Tell us about your win

Big or small, recent or years old. A parent volunteer will read it, reach back out about photos or videos if you’d like to include them, and never publish anything without your okay.

Prompts, if you’re staring at the box: a moment you never thought you’d see · what you’d tell yourself on diagnosis day · a provider or teacher who saw your kid’s strengths · the small ordinary thing that made you cry happy tears.

In the meantime, come get some hope in person

The fastest way to borrow hope is a folding chair on a Wednesday night — sitting with parents a few chapters ahead of you who remember exactly where you are. And starting fall 2026, a second circle opens at Little Luminaries on Ward Drive — newsletter readers hear the day first.

“Think about what you want their future to look like — their strengths, best case scenario. Then find the people who see them that way too.”
